MadeTrust ("MadeTrust", "we", "us", or "our") provides a platform that helps creators and businesses establish an online verification profile and helps customers determine whether an online account or creator has been verified through MadeTrust.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account information
When you create a MadeTrust account, we may collect:
- Name or display name
- Email address
- Profile photo
- Account credentials or authentication information
- Country or other profile information you choose to provide
MadeTrust uses third-party authentication services such as Clerk to help provide secure account authentication.
1.2 Verification information
When you verify your identity or online presence, we may collect information associated with the verification method you choose. This may include:
- Email verification status
- Website or domain information
- Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Etsy, or X account information
- Business information, where applicable
- Verification timestamps and status
- External platform account IDs
- Public usernames, handles, profile names, and profile URLs
We only request information reasonably necessary for the verification functionality you use.
1.3 Information obtained through connected platforms
If you connect a third-party account such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Etsy, or X, you authorize MadeTrust to receive information permitted by that platform's authorization system.
For example, when you connect YouTube, MadeTrust may receive information necessary to identify the YouTube channel associated with the Google account you authorize.
MadeTrust does not ask you for your Google, Instagram, TikTok, Etsy, or X password.
1.4 Creation records
If you register a creation through MadeTrust, we may collect:
- Creation name, description, category, and creation date
- Images, materials, or other information you voluntarily provide
- Product or website URL
- Creation record ID
- Visibility setting and registration date
- Information about the creator associated with the record
You control whether a creation record is Public, Unlisted, or Private, subject to the functionality available on MadeTrust.
1.5 Reports and communications
If you submit a report, contact us, or communicate with MadeTrust, we may collect:
- Your name and email address
- Report details and URLs
- Screenshots or other evidence you submit
- Communications with our support team
1.6 Verification reports
When you generate a Verification Report, we store the report ID, generation timestamp, document hash, and the MadeTrust verification and creation information included in the report. We use this information to provide your download and allow the report's public verification page to confirm the report against MadeTrust records.
1.7 Technical information
We may automatically collect limited technical information such as:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Approximate location derived from technical information where necessary
- Date and time of requests
- Pages or features accessed
- Security and authentication events
- Error and diagnostic information
We use this information primarily for security, fraud prevention, debugging, and service improvement.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Create and maintain your MadeTrust account
- Authenticate users
- Verify connected accounts and online presence
- Create and display your public MadeTrust profile
- Create and maintain creation records
- Generate verification links and QR codes
- Allow customers to verify a creator
- Investigate impersonation and abuse reports
- Detect suspicious or fraudulent activity and maintain security
- Provide customer support
- Improve and maintain MadeTrust
- Communicate with you about your account or the service
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use connected social accounts to make a general assessment of whether you are a "good" or "bad" person or business.
A MadeTrust verification does not mean that MadeTrust guarantees the quality, reliability, legality, originality, ownership, delivery, or business practices of a creator.
3. Public Information
Some information you choose to publish through MadeTrust may be visible to anyone who accesses your public MadeTrust profile. Depending on your settings, this may include:
- Display name, profile photo, bio, and website
- Verified social accounts and verification status
- Public creation records, images, and creation information
- Verification dates
Do not publish information through MadeTrust that you do not want to make publicly accessible.
Unlisted records are accessible through their unique links but are not intended to appear in public discovery or catalog pages.
4. Third-Party Services
MadeTrust may use third-party providers to operate the service. These may include:
- Clerk for authentication
- Neon for database infrastructure
- Firebase for file and image storage
- Google / YouTube for YouTube account verification
- Meta / Instagram for Instagram account verification
- TikTok, Etsy, and X for their respective account verification
- Hosting, analytics, email, security, and other infrastructure providers
These services may process information on our behalf or as independent service providers according to their own policies.
When you connect a third-party account, that platform's own terms and privacy policy may also apply.
5. OAuth and Connected Accounts
When you connect a third-party account using OAuth:
- You are redirected to the third-party platform.
- You authorize the requested permissions.
- The platform sends MadeTrust the information permitted by that authorization.
- MadeTrust uses that information to perform the requested verification.
MadeTrust does not receive your third-party account password through OAuth.
Where technically required, authentication tokens may be stored securely to maintain the connection or perform authorized operations. We do not intentionally sell OAuth tokens or connected-account credentials.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own accounts and authentication methods. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal data, we will take appropriate steps as required by applicable law.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide MadeTrust services
- Maintain verification records
- Maintain security and fraud-prevention records
- Resolve disputes
- Comply with legal obligations
- Enforce our agreements
When information is no longer reasonably necessary for these purposes, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal data, including the ability to:
- Request access to personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion where applicable
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Request information about how your data is processed
- Request assistance with exercising applicable privacy rights
If you withdraw consent for a particular processing activity, we may no longer be able to provide the associated feature.
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act provides for withdrawal of consent and requires processing based on consent to cease within the applicable framework, subject to processing otherwise authorized or required by law.

9. Children's Privacy
MadeTrust is intended for users who are legally able to use the service under applicable law. We do not knowingly design the service to collect personal information from children without the required authorization.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
MadeTrust may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies necessary for:
- Authentication and security
- Maintaining sessions
- Remembering preferences
- Service functionality
- Analytics, where applicable
You may be able to control certain cookies through your browser settings.
11. International Processing
MadeTrust and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we will take appropriate measures for such processing in accordance with applicable law.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the MadeTrust website, your account, or another appropriate method.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
